Horrible service
I very much enjoy using this product. It has made my business worry free Since as a service center all my work is in the field. I need to be able to operate mobile every day. I enjoy the reports generated especially during tax season. I enjoy the many features of this program. Tracking of all my customers and vendors is great. As a service center I can easily write up invoices and print them or email them immediately to my customers. However in your most recent update something happened in the software and I can no longer use the program on my IPAD. At first I thought I may need to update to a newer IPAD i checked with a friend of mine who operates an electronic store and we checked on a newer IPAD and the same thing happens. The program starts to open and then closes. So now I have gone back to hand writing invoices to my customers. Plus I can’t access any of my customers or vendors while in the field. Can you help with this I really don’t look forward to having to change accounting programs that would be a total nightmare.
Easy Books has lots of great simple functions. I don’t use invoicing etc, just basic double entry bookkeeping. But, it has a couple of flaws so it seems expensive and unprofessional. One flaw is that when you open it in iOS next to another app, sometimes it comes up a blank grey screen so you have to go out, and start over. This is a real pain when you’re trying to focus on keeping your data straight. The other issue is that Online Sync has also become buggy; giving frequent warnings about devices being out of sync even though I’m only using one device for entry, and the other device is always available for auto backups. My feeling is that everything is in sync, but the warning comes up anyway. I am starting to think it’s too expensive for these flaws, and am looking to shop around.
This app is amazing
We have used this app for years to manage our small retail store. Purchased unlimited transaction early on in the App Store and it worked flawlessly. However, now app creator forcing customer to purchase syncing plan that we don’t want or need and unlimited transactions are now limited until additional purchase of syncing plan, that is billed yearly, purchased. Very disappointed! Company responds to now use EB lite to get what you’ve already paid for...however...EB Lite now says “unlimited” transactions numbers reached and you must purchase an additional subscription....stay away from this company with a 10 foot poll!
I used QuickBooks for many years. (35years) I much prefer easy books as it runs much smoother on IOS devices and is very quick to react to inputting data. I think QuickBooks should change there name to slow books as in an IOS environment they look pathetic by comparison.
I have used this app for 10+ years now and have been happy with it until recently. Several weeks ago I noticed my invoices were looking terrible. It looks like I was using a typewriter that couldn’t fit words on a line and split words at the end of a line and finish them on the next.. like the first version of a word processor software from the 80’s... it took me several hours to actually find a way to contact the company about it and when I finally did, it was just an email. So I sent an email and also submitted to the forum.. after several days I did get a reply that states “thanks for sending in that issue. I have passed it on to my development team to take a look and will get back to you when they have finished.” It’s been weeks now and still no reply and no automatic fixes or updates.. this is ridiculous! I cannot send out these invoices and quotes because they look like a 2nd grader wrote them, actually, my second grader could do better! Looking for a new service now.
Acabo de comprar o mejor dicho pagar por la suscripción de esta app casi $90 dólares por un año lo que se me hace un poco caro para empezar, ese no es el problema,lo malo es que estoy usando easy invoice y me aparece una alerta que me amenaza con borrar los datos guardados de mis transacciones si no renuevo mi suscripción cosa que termine haciendo pero la app me llevo a EASY BOOKS! Ingenuo yo pensando que era parte de la misma app voy y pago la suscripción anual solo para ver que al momento de abrir tal app esta llena con información de OTRO NEGOCIO ya con bastantes transacciones hechas y no contiene ningúna información mía y de mi negocio! Esto para mi es una estafa y un engaño y no le recomiendo a ningún dueño de negocio usar esta app! Totalmente decepcionado de estas personas avariciosas que solo piensan en dinero y engañan a sus clientes.
I attempted numerous times to delete an account they use asan example, but I was not able. I spent like 10 minutes trying, but enough was enough. Delete the app.
First off let me say I have been a professional bookkeeper and tax preparer for over 15 years. I switched careers to insurance agent and wanted to find a program/app I could use straight on my iPad. Most of the bad reviews on the App Store are over a year old so I decided to give it a try. Didn’t find anywhere in the store that said I would only get “X” amount of transactions. Didn’t describe the extra features or the cost of them on the App Store either. So I downloaded, signed up, went through the 4 step tutorial. It wouldn’t even let me put my company name in when I created a new company. Then I start entering backdated sales. Because I started 2 weeks ago I have 2+ weeks on commissions and expenses to enter. Low and behold... I enter 5 sales and it tells me I have reached my limit. Doesn’t say if I will be able to enter 5 more transactions tomorrow for free or if that is permanently the only free transactions I get. So after using the program less than 5 mins I am forced to make a choice to spend money or find something else... Seeing as it is 230 in the morning; I think I will call it a night and continue my software search in the morning, along with uninstalling this catastrophe for my iPad and closing out the account online. Note to developers: money isn’t everything... try lowering your level of greed and you might get more people interested and better ratings.
Perfect for my small cleaning business. I live in the USA so it took so finagling to make it work for me. And fortunately when I called customer services the guy I spoke to used to live in Virginia. He was a HUGE help. If IRS came at me I would have so much proof of income thanks to this app.
My wife and I have used easy books to manage our personal finances since 2011. It’s the best balance of simple and powerful. The data synchronization across devices makes things easy, and the split screen on iPad is a must when reconciling bank statements. Although it is targeted toward small businesses, we find it to be good for personal finances because it is unopinionated in its workflow, allowing us to leverage off of standard accounting practices rather than fight a tool that thinks it knows how to manage our finances better than we do.
The new “image” is very noon plus. Doesn’t add to the app. As a business owner more functionality would have been preferable to modern, pretty, feminine look. It doesn’t help.
Please make it where you don't have to scroll up to current date everytime you open an account. Great program for invoicing My customers
I have used a number of business accounting packages. By far the best is Easy Books. It is flexible, powerful and “easy” to use, as the name implies. Support is also spot on. Hugely valuable tool, syncs across devices perfectly.

I paid for unlimited transactions for this program because of its simplicity and getting the job done for my small business, I did NOT receive any email from these people (that’s where the lying comes in) I loved this program. Now my access to my previous transactions are blocked unless I get a subscription. I DON’T WANT A SUBSCRIPTION. I WANT WHAT I PREVIOUSLY PAID FOR. I want a refund because of the fraudulent actions this company perpetuated.
Easy books is great. Support is excellent. All good. If I could I would give it 4.5 because a few things aren’t as intuitive as I would like, but that is the purist in me. Overall excellent.
Please add field for tel numbers on customers profile setup. Also make it possible to be able to pull up a customer info card... The app is great and easy to use. I have been using it personally for private finance management now I use it to manage a small business.
You should of left easy books alone and created easy books pro... instead of screwing us over with easy books lite. I can’t transfer all of my data over to lite... my online syncing is good through June and It won’t let me sync all of the data over...
For me the app is essential for all my business transactions. Bought all the add ons for the Mac and IOS plus online sync. I spent a lot of money into the app, which I was happy to do because I like the app. Unfortunately, like so many other devs they are switching to a subscription with a monthly cost. So now those "unlimited" add ons that I purchased seem to be no more. I will not continue to be a customer as under the subscription model. Maybe they will continue to offer the current programs the the customers that have signed up already or give us an option to use it as we have been or switch to the subscription if that works better for you. I would continue paying online sync if that happens and change my rating back to 5 star. Otherwise you lost me and probably many others that are already flooded with subscriptions. Formerly happy 6 year customer.
So now they want a monthly charge now that all my books are in here! What a scam.
I thought it would be easy to upload my bank statements into this program, but I can’t figure it out and am so discouraged that I’m going to ask for my money back

i agree with others who say the subscription price is too high. developer says he needs to charge hi fees to compete. lower fees might bring more users. but i do love the app.
I purchased this app and the unlimited transactions in 2010 and now the app doesn't allow me to enter any transactions.
I am a paying customer since inception of app. App is ok for a mobile accounting app. But unfortunately they got greedy and did not honor previous agreements from paying customers. They could have grandfathered paying customers before their new version came out! But they decided to ripoff paying customers. Yes they are ripping off customers who have already paid for the app & paid for add-ons! Sorry but theirs only one explanation and that is they don’t care about their customer who are the ones who helped them build their app into a successful venture. So wrong and it’s going to piss off a lot people!
Has worked very very well for me. I I was a happy QuickBooks user before using Easy Books sticking with easy books for now.
Been using easy books for about six years and it far surpasses quickbooks for my needs.
I really like the ease of use of this app. I purchased the app before they changed their business model to subscription and now they left me out in the cold. They gave me their "lite" app with no way to import my existing data. Also no tech support despite my previous purchases!
We can not add the products with barcode numbers, there is no scan future, no customer service connection, no customer service phone number or no online chat for quick and important questions. They have just ready questions and answers.
Quicken was my accounting software since it came out many years ago. Use it for my home and rental business. I used an older version for years until Quicken force you to upgrade. So I did and then my nightmare started. I started experiencing bugs on each new software release. I lost transactions and my accounts got out of balance. I had a mess at the end of the year to clean up. I had enough. A friend told me about Easy books, how easy it was to use. And it is easy, neat and simple. Love how it works, your Account Receivable is merge in with the General ledger accounting software providing real easy way to control your customers and accounting together. I use it with my rental business. Works great.
We bought the whole program several years ago and have put everything from our business in. Then they, without any notice, put the program on a subscription basis and want us to pay every month. Older customers who bought it as a program should be grandfathered in! Because I wouldn't pay, all my documents and records have DRAFT all over them. As a program in general, its pretty complicated to get started and takes some getting used to to set up all the fields, ect and then its even more annoying finding them again a year later to change something. I didn't like the reports; it was very difficult to manage invoices from business in 2 different states. Over all, there are better programs out there. Currently I am using zipbooks. Its free, cloud based and its already doing more for me than easybooks.
I have been using this app for the past 3 1/2 years for my small business. While it was very good at the onset, the updated made it even easier to use. This is a wonderful thing for someone like me, who has no accounting background. I love how easy it is to turn in all of my information for my accountant at the end of the year as well!!! Great great great!
I've been using this app for YEARS and now I'm being told I have to pay for it?! Seriously?? I don't think so!!! You make life difficult! Nothing easy here.

I just wanted to say that I love this app. Easybooks has been perfect for my small plumbing company and has freed me up in the bookkeeping department. As far as the new subscription charges they are very low priced and extremely reasonable. Support has been consistently great, they always get back to me the next day. The advice given has always shown me more features that are contained in the app which I wasn't aware of. Thanks Easy Books people for making my life much easier, a satisfied customer.
Retract 1 star review. Due to poor communication from seller the subscription plan doesn't appear to effect the long term users. If it does then review will be revisited.
It is sad that people rob and steal for a living, but it is worst when a business does it! The developers of this software are a bunch of cheaters robing others for their own profits. I paid for this app almost 5 years ago (with add-ons) and at the time it was a fair exchange. I was then asked to give a review to help boost sales. I gladly complied! However, for the sake of money and competition they have decided to change to a subscription policy with the latest update. I have no problem with businesses competing with other businesses, just don't rob and steal from your clients and those who gave you glaring reviews in the beginning. . . .sorry bunch of crooks!!! The best thing for this developer to do would have been to create an updated version of this app separately with new features that compete with other accounting apps and offer the updated version on a subscription basis. You will NOT be in business long when you do what this developer is doing. Don't subscribe, because the thief that developed this app is liable to change rules on you! Stay away!
I purchased this App 3 months ago with some add ons. I chose it because of the one time fee rather then a yearly fee. It met my needs very nicely. Today I went to open it and I can't! They now want a monthly fee to continue using what I've already purchased. STAY AWAY!!!!
Used app for four years with a purchase of unlimited transactions. Over night they changed their mind and want me to pay a monthly fee or I lose all my entries. COMPLETE FRAUD!!! Also, there is no contact email or phone number. Never ever use this service!!!
Stay away. This company is a scam. They are disabling access to their loyal customers who purchased unlimited use of the program so they could move to subscription pricing. That is just fraud. Don't even think about purchasing as they will likely make changes again and just steal your money.
It's a good App but needs to improve it's reporting. For example a journal voucher report would be beneficial to analyze specific transactions.
Pros: It's a resident program. It allows me to do all my accounting on my iPad which is so portable! I've used many accounting programs, and while this doesn't have all the bells and whistles, it gets the job done.
In your website you say 79.99 usd but here in the App store it says 39.99 usd. Which one is the correct price? Thank you, Juxhin.
